Four Wheelers
When was the last time you had the opportunity to have a rip on an ATV? The rush with torque and the maneuverability will get your excitement flying in a hurry! It’s a great past time for nearly any teen or adult!

What, you haven’t?!? Well maybe it’s time you got down to the local Polaris, Artic Cat, Honda, Yamaha, Kawasaki, Suzuki, or other ATV dealer and had a look. You can also find it all online on these manufacturers’ sites.

The times have changed dramatically. There are many models with features specific to all sorts of needs out there. Many 4-wheelers are made even for the youngest drivers. Others are capable of a lot of hard work along with fun. So get busy, and find a test drive on a new 4-wheeler today; you may never be the same again!

When I was a kid, there weren’t any 4 wheelers. I had a number of dirt bikes, and even a few 3 wheelers. It was a whole different game really. It took more balance and a number of dumps to figure out where the balance went. The 3 wheelers were out of balance on their own, which made them dangerous in certain situations.

Most older ATVs were prone to break down and as stubborn as a mule when they didn’t want to run. Even with many acres to tear up back then, you had to be a lot more careful not to breakdown where you might freeze before getting back to the comfort of home.

Modern ATVs are a lot better. They run more than they are broken down if you take care of them. 4-wheelers provide a lot more balance than other ATVs of the past as they set squarely on the ground. They offer better stability, traction, and due to advances in technology, more reliability and speed as well.

Compared to the 3-wheelers of the past, they make many leaps and bounds in just about every way. Another problem with the 3-wheelers was that they were very prone to broken frames. 4-wheelers do have some issues in this area, but only a fraction compared to my old Honda 200S (which in the end had a frame that was in about 3 pieces but started in one).

While looking for your own 4-wheeler, you will want to figure out what will be best for all your needs. Things to consider are fun, but also usefulness for chores, and how it will do for you in the different seasons. You also want adequate power but not too much. That super powered 600 might kick dirt 2 houses down the road, but how far do your tires spinning a hole into the ground get you? At the same time, this uses a lot more fuel (and that isn’t getting any cheaper these days).
